MORE INFO
The Empower Providence Project is a cultural celebration happening on Friday, October 7, 2011, at Providence Inner City Arts' Roots Cultural Center, 276 Westminster Street in downtown Providence. The event begins at 8:00 PM and culminates with performances by Washington, DC based hip hop artist, Head-Roc (www.head-roc.com); NYC-based hip hop and jazz fusion artist, Spiritchild (www.xspiritmental.com); and members of the RI-based artist collective, Isis Storm (www.isisstorm.com)

Prior to the event, from 6:00-8:00 PM, the community is also invited to join event sponsors - such as RI Jobs with Justice, Environmental Justice League of RI, and We Heal Sakinah's Hebs - to network, hear about local community issues and resources, and snack on refreshments at “The People of Culture Mixer and Marketplace.”
