Venus Sings at the Spot and Reza Wreckage Revels in Her Residency:
Monday, August 15, 2011, 7 PM, 15 Elbow Street, Providence

(More info)
Come join us at The Spot Underground for our big night with none other than Worcester Slam founder Rev. Bill MacMillan! He's been on many teams over the past 2 decades, including the '96 team from Providence ... y'know, the guys that WON THE ...WHOLE DANG SHOW!! Don't believe me? Go rent the documentary SlamNation & see for yourself! He's a seasoned, savvy & sometimes silly poet, performer, team coach, educator & mentor ... plus he knows how to use a claymore. BADASS!

Coming fresh off the Worcester team for this year's NPS, The Rev. has something special & unique in store for the MondaySLAM audience; you don't want to be one of the people who miss this surprise, because I'm sure it'll be talked about for months!

If you think all THAT isn't enough, well, WTH do you want from us, ya' greedy little pig?! OK, fine ... here's one more thing: our normal cash Slam ... is also our first official qualifier, so that WE can send a team to NEXT year's NPS! How cool is that?! Don't forget that the prize has been raised to $50 for 1st place, too! WOW!

We also have, as your music spotlight mini-feature, none other than the original rock, jazz, country & blues of Blackstrap Molasses, plus the incomparable Ms. DJ Reza Wreckage setting the mood for the open mic, as she does every session.

As always, there'll be an open mic, along with the great food, drink, service & atmosphere for which The Spot Underground is known, all for the low cover of only $3! What a bargain!

Wait, you STILL want more?! DANG, yo! Fine, how about a bigger bargain? Bring 10 friends & get your cover, a pizza & a beverage FREE (no top shelf, please)! How can you beat THAT?! You can't, so don't try; just come.
