Reza Wreckage Noted in Newspaper

PAWTUCKET, RI - While the focus of the article was not me, and the number of words expelled to talk about me were few, I still took complete delight when I learned that I was mentioned recently in a Pawtucket Times article ("Poetry awakens downtown").
For the $5 cover charge, patrons could enjoy plates of chicken and rice that had been donated from local sponsors, and then sit back and listen to a line-up of spoken word artists who were accompanied by DJ Reza Wreckage and jazz musicians Mike Rollins and Matt Tarpy. - DONNA KENNY KIRWAN
Kirwan was describing a night held in early January at Mixed Magic Theatre - "Ladies Night." Presented by a group who calls themselves From the R.I.P. (Rhode Island Poets, Christopher Johnson, Jay Chattelle, Rudy Cabrera), the event showcased me, DJ Reza Wreckage/Venus Sings, Michaelle Saintil and Nataly Garcia, all of us representing Isis Storm, as well as other female artists from the Providence and Pawtucket areas (Tomasina, Sly Shuga, Ms. Marjorie, and Mary Gipson).

Pretty neat, right???!!! Definitely a lap in this exciting race.
